Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, the exclusive luxury retreat in the British Virgin Islands, has appointed internationally respected wellness professional Dr. Arun Kumar as Spa Manager of its signature Ixora Spa. A leader in holistic health and luxury spa operations, Dr. Kumar brings nearly two decades of global experience to the private island resort, known for its elevated Caribbean escape and commitment to wellbeing.

Dr. Kumar most recently served as Fitness & Wellness Activity Manager at Rosewood Little Dix Bay, a Forbes Five-Star resort in the BVI, where he introduced immersive wellness programming and launched a state-of-the-art Fitness & Sports Club. His career highlights include key spa and wellness leadership roles at Oil Nut Bay Resort, Necker Island, and Biras Creek Resort, where he developed tailored wellness plans for discerning travelers, including elite global clientele.

Holding a Doctorate in Natural Therapies and Yogic Sciences, along with an MBA, Dr. Kumar is also a Registered Fitness Professional with the ITY Federation in France. He brings extensive expertise in luxury spa brands such as Biologique Recherche, ELEMIS, ESPA, and Healing Earth.
