ROAD TOWN, Tortola, British Virgin Islands — The British Virgin Islands has been named among the Top 10 Caribbean & Atlantic Islands in the prestigious 2026 Condé Nast Traveller UK Readers’ Choice Awards, marking another significant international recognition for the Territory’s tourism industry.
The recognition celebrates the BVI as one of the Caribbean and Atlantic region’s most highly regarded island destinations, based on the preferences and experiences of readers of Condé Nast Traveller UK.
Tourism stakeholders have welcomed the award as a reflection of the Territory’s continued appeal to travellers seeking beautiful beaches, sailing experiences, natural attractions, distinctive island culture and the relaxed atmosphere for which the BVI is known.
“We are thrilled to announce that the British Virgin Islands have been named a winner of the 2026 Condé Nast Traveller UK Readers’ Choice Awards, in the Top 10 Caribbean & Atlantic Islands category,” the BVI tourism team said in announcing the recognition.
The achievement also highlights the collective efforts of the Territory’s tourism partners, hospitality businesses, service providers and destination marketing teams, whose work contributes to maintaining the BVI’s position in the highly competitive international tourism market.

The Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards are widely regarded as an influential measure of traveller preferences, with readers selecting and rating destinations and travel experiences around the world.
For the BVI, the latest accolade provides further international exposure for the Territory as it continues efforts to attract visitors, strengthen its tourism product and position the destination as a leading choice in the Caribbean.
The recognition comes as the Territory continues to promote its unique combination of sailing, beaches, marine attractions, nature, culture and hospitality to travellers from key international markets.
