Virgin Gorda Youth Pulls Gun On Father Stabs Him

Officers of the Virgin Gorda Police Station have now arrested and charged a 17-year-old male of Virgin Gorda with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm following a stabbing incident that occurred on Saturday, March 15, after 7:00 AM.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a verbal dispute between two individuals escalated, resulting in the stabbing of one individual. The victim received medical attention for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) remains committed to thoroughly investigating all incidents and ensuring the safety of the community. Our newsroom is understanding that a young male has stabbed his father early this morning on Virgin Gorda. The 17 year old who initially pulled a gun on his father and then proceeded to stab him, is from Virgin Gorda.

It is alleged that a struggle ensued between both, causing the gun to fall to the floor. The young boy then pulled a knife from his pocket and stabbed his father twice. The victim is presently at the Dr D Orlando Smith Hospital in stable condition.

The youth had already left the scene when Police arrived.

We understand that the Police are conducting investigations.
