Senior Magistrate Tamia N. Richards sentenced Walters around noon today, Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Walters, a resident of Virgin Gorda, was sentenced to 32 months for each count of indecent assault on a minor. The sentences, are to run concurrently, which means Walters will only serve 32 months in prison.
During the trial, the court heard that Walters engaged in an inappropriate manner with the child on two (2) occasions; at the Police Station on Anegada, and again at a hotel.
The child eventually reported the matter to her Mother and another Police Officer.

Harris Walters was sent on compulsory leave from the force in 2015. RVIPF inside sources confirm that based on the verdict, and today’s sentencing, Walters will be given an internal hearing, and then dismissed from the RVIPF.
