Cayman Elections Wraps Up With No Clear Government Elected, Coalition Necessary

The Cayman Islands held elections yesterday April 30th 2025, with no clear party taking the Parliamentary. The UK Territory is once again deadlock and heading for a coalition Government. 

The Cayman Islands National Party (CINP) has won West Bay West, Cayman Brac West, and Little Cayman. Party leader Daniel Scott was unsuccessful in Cayman Brac East as incumbent Julianna O'Connor-Connolly has been returned to the seat.

The CINP also took victory in George Town and Prospect.

The People's Progressive Movement (PPM) has so far won the most seats (six). Members of the PPM who won include party leader Joseph Hew, Julianna O'Connor-Connolly, Kenneth Bryan, Roy McTaggart, Pearlina McGaw-Lumsden, Dwayne Seymour and Roy Tatum.

The Caymanian Community Party won four seats, returning Andre Ebanks, Wayne Panton, Heather Bodden, and Katherine Ebanks-Wilks to Parliament. 

The Independents took four seats in the 2025 elections. They include Chris Saunders, Jahany Ebanks, Isaac Rankine, and Rolston Anglin.

The Cayman Parliament is made up of 19 elected Members and 2 ex officio Members.
