Head of VIDIC Lisa Violet Resigns?
Information reaching our newsroom is that the head of VIDIC, Lisa Ann Violet, has tendered her resignation as CEO. Our newsroom has not been able to fully verify the information as there seems to be a tightening on information around the Bank of Asia situation.
Violet was confirmed to the position in late 2024.
Sources close to the situation are confirming that Violet has been attempting to take action on the bank for some time, however sources are confirming her hands, along with the head of FSC Kenneth Baker’s hands have been allegedly tied by then Minister now Junior Minister of Financial Services and Banking, Lorna Smith OBE.
Sources are also confirming ongoing tension between Violet and Honourable Smith, which is said to have escalated on Thursday May 29th when Guavaberry Media broke the first story on the Bank of Asia fallout. The tension escalated due to Violet’s decision to wind down the bank we’re told. By Friday morning May 30th, we understand Violet had turned in her resignation.
To date, Honourable Lorna Smith has not responded to a request from Guavaberry Media seeking information on the unfolding situation.
We will update this story as soon as we are able to verify the information.
