The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) can now confirm the identities of three males who were found deceased in separate incidents over the past week. 

The first body was recovered from the waters near Maria’s by the Sea after 5 pm on Friday, June 6. The deceased has been identified as  𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿, 𝗮 𝟰𝟳-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺. The body was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are ongoing.

In a separate incident on Virgin Gorda, the RVIPF confirms that the body of 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗭𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗝𝗿., 𝗮 𝟯𝟭-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝘆, 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮, was discovered on Sunday, June 8. He was reported missing in the early hours on Sunday, after last being seen around midnight at Blue House Bar on Virgin Gorda. A coordinated search was initiated, which later led to the discovery of his body after 9 am.

The third incident took place on Monday, June 9, involving a visitor to the Territory. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗮 𝟳𝟭-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, was found unresponsive in the water after swimming with family members. He was rescued by VISAR and was later pronounced dead. Investigators are working to determine the full circumstances surrounding each death.
