Samuel Jack Husbands has been reappointed to the Labour Arbitration Tribunal as Chairman for a second term. The new period is expected to run for two years, which started on May 1, 2025. The appointment will end on 30th April 2027. 

Husbands was first appointed on May 1, 2023. 

The Labour Arbitration Tribunal makes decisions on labour disputes, and regulates its own procedures as to how it will do so. 

The parties appearing before the body are entitled to the same rights or privileges as they would have before any court.
