The official funeral of former legislator, Mrs. Eileene L. Parsons OBE, will be held on Thursday, July 17 at the Multi-purpose Sports Complex. Her body will lie in state, at the House of Assembly Chambers in Road Town, on Wednesday, July 16. The public will have an opportunity to pay their last respects between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The official funeral will commence with a procession on July 17 from the House of Assembly Chambers, at 8:00 a.m. to the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

A pre-service is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. with the funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Road Town Methodist Church Cemetery.

Official flags will be flown in the Territory at half-mast on July 17 at all Government buildings.

Residents of the Sister Islands who are interested in attending the funeral and are in need of ground transportation can register through their district officer. Ground Transportation will be provided for registered persons to and from the ferry terminals in Road Town, to the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, and back to the terminal.

The former legislator and cultural icon died on Sunday June 22, 2025.
