RVIPF SEIZES SECOND ILLEGAL FIREARM DURING RISE AND SHINE FESTIVITIES
In a continuing crackdown on violent crime, Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) officers this morning recovered a loaded Glock semi-automatic pistol during a targeted operation at the Rise and Shine tramp. This seizure marks the second illegal firearm removed from circulation during this year's Emancipation celebrations.
Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Vanterpool commended the officers involved, stating: "This seizure demonstrates the courageous and dedicated efforts of our officers who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. We thank the public for their ongoing support and urge everyone to continue working with us to remove dangerous weapons from our streets."
The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue. Further updates will be provided as the case develops.
