Beyond the Fog

I once stumbled through shadows,

mist thick with doubt,

a silence heavy with unspoken truths.

I searched for love in hands

that could never hold me whole,

forgot my worth in places

that fed only my hunger for belonging.

But now the air clears.

I see it,

my reflection sharpened,

not fractured, not lost.

I carry my own power

to change the story,

to turn endings into openings,

to rise without apology.

Beyond the fog,

I am not waiting to be chosen,

I am already here,

a horizon unbroken,

a force undeniable.

The storm may have taught me,

but the light is mine to keep.
