RVIPF CLARIFIES FALSE INFORMATION REGARDING EAST END TRAFFIC INCIDENT

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is issuing this statement to correct information being circulated in the public and on social media regarding a traffic incident in the East End area on the evening of September 28, 2025.

The incident, which occurred approximately at 8:30 pm, involved two vehicles.

Contrary to the false reports, this was not a fatal accident. One individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the collision and was transported to Dr. Orlando Smith Hospital for treatment.

Another individual involved in the incident is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drug and was also taken to the hospital for assessment. A full

investigation into the circumstances of this accident is currently underway by the RVIPF.

The RVIPF wishes to state unequivocally that there were no fatal hit-and-run accidents anywhere in the Territory overnight. The information being circulated to the contrary is completely false.

Spreading unconfirmed reports can cause unnecessary alarm and distress within our community.
