Gunmen Strike Again
Information reaching our newsroom early this morning is that gunmen struck once again at a popular Baugher’s Bar overnight, 7th October. We understand that three (3) heavily armed men wearing masks, and brandishing large weapons, swarmed the business.
We are unsure what was taken, or if anyone sustained any form of injuries.
Businesses are becoming uneasy, and concerns of safety and self protection are now taking forefront debate. Ag. Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Vanterpool who in her position is the designated licencing authority for firearm licenses in the territory has stated that it is a serious and weighty responsibility that must be discharged with the utmost care, and that issuing a firearm license is an option of last resort.
Just over the past weekend, gunmen stormed another establishment in the middle of Town, badly injuring one patron who remains in critical condition.
Residents have also reported the sound of gunshots in the Johnsons Ghut area in the late hours of last night October 7.
The Territory held a three (3) day Anti Crime Summit on the 24-26th September 2025.
This is a breaking news story.
