In a recent facebook post, Sir Richard Branson shared the news that his Wife, Joan Branson had passed. 

In a moving, heartfelt statement, he wrote: 

“Heartbroken to share that Joan, my wife and partner for 50 years, has passed away. 

She was the most wonderful mum and grandmum our kids and grandkids could have ever wished for. She was my best friend, my rock, my guiding light, my world. Sir Richard Branson. 

Richard, who made his billions as the Virgin Group founder, married Jane in 1989 and they share two children Holly and Sam. 

We extend condolences to Sir Branson and his children.
