Another Week Comes to an End

Another week comes to an end,

and the tired shows first.

The kind that lives in the shoulders,

behind the eyes,

in the sighs we didn’t realize we were holding.

It was a draining week.

The kind that asked more than it gave,

that tested patience,

that pulled energy in quiet ways.

And still,

we showed up.

We showed up tired.

We showed up stretched thin.

We showed up anyway.

With compassion we almost forgot we had.

With empathy even when it cost us something.

With grace we had to dig for.

Not perfect.

Not polished.

But present.

The island rains quieter now.

The music slows.

The drinks get colder.

And the body finally has permission

to rest.

Becoming the best version of ourselves

doesn’t always look like winning.

Sometimes it looks like surviving gently.

Like choosing kindness over collapse.

Like continuing,

even when the tank feels low.

Another week ends.

And despite the exhaustion,

despite the weight,

we are still becoming.

And that…...

that counts for everything.
