Hello You!

Well Hello You! What have you been up too this couple days? It is the month of February. I know, i know it is pouring outside, the place is wet and cold and feelings start to resurface some old, some new ones but hang in there. Keep firm in your growth and work on you.

February- The Month of Love

February came soft,

but quiet

The month of love arrived with rain,

steady, honest, calm rain,

the kind that washes drains,

and memories at the same time.

My memory: I fell in love with a bartender.

His attention served in rounds,

His words smooth enough

to make chaos feel like chemistry,

Some romance was present too, late nights, soft moment disgust as hope.

There were also lies.

Stacked like empty glasses,

Cheating dressed as confusion.

Mistreatment wrapped in apologies.

Gaslighting that shook my nervous system

And so subtle, it made me question my own memory.

But I loved. And I glad I did. Now this February keep asking, Was this even Love?

The month has four perfect days of each day of the week. Look at it again, Sunday to Saturday.

Balanced. Fair.

A reminder that not all love is meant to tilt you off your center.

So I ask you back:

Who are you in love with?

Someone who soothes you,

or someone who keeps you guessing?

Do they choose you clearly?

Or only when it’s convenient?

Love shouldn’t feel like survival.

It shouldn’t cost you your clarity,

your safety,

your sense of self.

February is still the month of love,

but now you know better.

Love begins where honesty lives.

Where peace is consistent.

Where the nervous system can finally rest.

And if they aren’t in love with you,

not really,

not fully,

then maybe February

isn’t all about romance at all.

So let the rain teach you,

February just began,

Let the even days remind you,

that love should meet you halfway.

And if you’re loving someone,

make sure they’re loving you too.

Not just the idea of you.

Not just the convenience.

But all of YOU.
