One mere moment can save a lifetime of pain, not just for one individual but a family, even generations to come based on the stigma of the situation. This may hit home for some or this might just be a lesson for others. 

 

The Cost of Dishonesty 

Betrayal doesn’t always start in a bed.

It starts in a lie. A simple lie. 

A hidden phone. Avoiding accountability.

A deleted message.

A “don’t worry about it.”

 

A half-truth dressed as reassurance.

Cheating is not just bodies colliding.

It’s trust collapsing. Trust leaving. 

And dishonesty?

Dishonesty is the real infection.

Because when you lie about where you’ve been,

who you’ve touched,

what risks you’ve taken,

you are gambling with more than feelings.

You are gambling with health.

With futures.

With innocent bodies that trusted you.

 

An STD doesn’t begin with immorality.

It begins with secrecy.

With ego.

With someone thinking a moment of pleasure

is worth more than protection.

And far too often,

it is women who find out last.

Women who trusted.

Girls who believed the promises.

Women who loved without armor.

 

Save the women. Save the men.

Save the girls. Save the boys.

Save the next generation

from inheriting trauma disguised as romance.

 

Normalize testing.

Normalize honesty.

Normalize saying,

“I cannot love you if you are reckless with my body.” Why would I?

Because cheating doesn’t just break hearts.

It can alter lives.

 

And society cannot keep pretending

that betrayal is entertainment,

while clinics fill quietly,

with the consequences of silence.

 

Real love protects.

Real love discloses.

Real love chooses responsibility

over ego.

 

If you cannot be faithful,

at least be honest.

If you cannot commit,

at least be careful. Use protection. Get tested. Know your status. Leave the young girls and boys alone. 

But better yet,

heal before you harm.

Because dishonesty spreads faster

than any virus.

And truth

is the only cure.
