The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission (BVITBFC) is once again participating in the Caribbean’s premier business-to- business tourism event, the Caribbean Travel Marketplace, from 12th to 15th May. Attendance at this year’s event underscores the Territory’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships and expanding its global reach. Antigua & Barbuda is once again hosting Caribbean Travel Marketplace, which brings together key players from across the regional and international tourism industry.

Representing the BVITBFC at this year’s Marketplace are Deputy Director Natasha Chalwell, International Marketing Manager Feliza Fenty-Clifford, and Regional Marketing Manager RaeNisia Scatliffe. Industry partner Maribel Perez of Peter Island Resort is also attending.

The delegation will participate in a series of pre-scheduled business meetings with tour operators, travel advisors, and wholesalers, aimed at promoting the British Virgin Islands’ distinctive offerings—from its world-renowned sailing experiences and luxury accommodations to its vibrant culture and pristine natural environment.

In addition to Marketplace appointment days, the BVI delegation will engage in several key industry events designed to foster dialogue and innovation within Caribbean tourism. These include the Caribbean Travel Forum on 12th May, which brings together public and private sector leaders to address critical issues shaping regional tourism, and the Direct Booking Summit on 15th May, focused on enhancing digital strategies and driving direct-to-consumer engagement. “Caribbean Travel Marketplace continues to be an essential platform for strengthening our relationships within the global travel trade,” said Natasha Chalwell, Deputy Director of Tourism. “Our participation allows us not only to showcase the unique appeal of the British Virgin Islands, but also to stay at the forefront of industry trends, ensuring that we remain competitive and responsive in an evolving tourism landscape.”

Through its presence at the Marketplace and related events, the BVI aims to deepen existing partnerships while exploring new opportunities across both traditional and emerging markets.
