BVI Ports Authority Issues RFP for New Server Infrastructure Upgrade

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, Virgin Islands — The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) inviting qualified vendors to submit bids for the supply and implementation of a new server infrastructure system.

The project covers the provision of server hardware, software, and implementation services, as the Authority moves to modernise its core information technology systems.

According to BVIPA, the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to strengthen technological capacity, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the secure delivery of services across its port facilities and administrative operations.

The planned upgrade seeks to establish a robust and scalable server environment capable of supporting both current operations and the Authority’s future digital and business requirements.

Pre-tender meeting scheduled

Interested vendors will have an opportunity to participate in a virtual pre-tender meeting scheduled for Wednesday, 29 July 2026 at 10:00 a.m.

The session is expected to provide additional information on project requirements and the procurement process.

Submission deadline

Completed proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes and delivered to the Acting Managing Director at the British Virgin Islands Ports Authority no later than 10:00 a.m. on Monday, 31 August 2026.

Late submissions will not be considered.
