The Blood Bank at the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital has issued and urgent notice for O+ and O– blood donations to support patient care. Donations can make a meaningful and immediate impact, the statement noted.

The Laboratory is open for blood donation from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. For questions or to confirm eligibility, persons can contact the Lab at 284-852-7572.

Please Note:

• Donors should be in good general health.

• Please bring a valid photo ID.

• Eat a healthy meal before donating.

• Stay well hydrated before and after donation.

• If you recently travelled, had surgery, or are on medication, please consult with the Lab team for eligibility.
