A statement released by Ag. Commissioner Ullger confirms that earlier this afternoon, an officer of the RVIPF was found unresponsive at the Cane Garden Bay Police Station, where he resided in the barracks. He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene, the statement further confirmed. 

“The Force is currently in the process of notifying the officer’s next of kin. The circumstances surrounding this incident are unclear at this time, and an investigation is underway.” Ag. COP Ullger

Guavaberry Media has learned that the deceased Constable is Dikembe Vanterpool, nephew to the Deputy COP Jacqueline Vanterpool. 

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has extends its condolences to the officer’s family, friends, and colleagues of Constable Vanterpool.
