Hello You!

May 01, 2026 Commentary 0 Comments

Hello You! It comes a point in your life where you realize the lessons that had to be learnt or the changes that needs to be made. You realize that your journey is just beginning and certain patterns or behaviors are too heavy to continue to carry them along. You have to let it go. Why? Because your new life requires a different version of you. Happy Thursday!

The Price of Your New Life

The price of your new life

is your old one.

Not pieces of it

all of it.

The habits

that kept you small.

The people

that kept you confused.

The version of you

that kept saying yes, maybe

when your intuition was screaming no.

You don’t get to evolve

and stay comfortable.

Growth will ask you

to release

what once felt like home.

And it won’t feel fair.

Because some of it

you loved.

Some of it

you fought for.

Some of it

you believed in it and that

would become something more.

But not everything

you love

is meant to grow with you.

That’s the truth.

Your new life

requires space.

Space for peace.

Space for clarity.

Space for a version of you

that no longer negotiates

her worth.

And space like that?

It doesn’t come

without letting go.

So yes,

you will outgrow people.

You will walk away

from what once felt normal.

You will become unfamiliar

to those who only knew

the version of you

that tolerated less.

And they may not understand it.

But this journey

was never about

being understood.

It was about

becoming aligned.

Because the life

you’re stepping into

doesn’t have room

for who you used to be.

Not the overexplaining.

Not the overgiving.

Not the version of you

that abandoned herself

to be loved.

That version served her purpose.

But she is not

who you are anymore.

So let her go

with gratitude

not guilt.

Because she got you here.

But she cannot

take you further.

The price of your new life

is your old one.

And we all have to pay the price for it.
