ROAD TOWN, Tortola, British Virgin Islands — NAGICO Insurances BVI is strengthening its commitment to youth development and sporting excellence in the Virgin Islands with a $10,000 investment as Title Sponsor of the 2026 Junior Caribbean Squash Championships.
The regional championship, set for July 10 to July 16, 2026, will transform the Tortola Sports Club into a hub of Caribbean sporting talent as junior squash players from across the region compete for regional honours.
The tournament is expected to attract some of the Caribbean’s most promising young athletes, along with coaches, officials and supporters, placing the Virgin Islands in the spotlight as a destination capable of hosting major regional sporting events.
NAGICO Insurances BVI said the sponsorship represents more than financial support, describing it as an investment in the growth, confidence and future success of young people throughout the region.
“At NAGICO, we believe that investing in young athletes is an investment in the future of our communities,” the company said. “We are honoured to partner with the BVI Squash Association to help deliver a first-class championship while showcasing the hospitality, talent and excellence of the Virgin Islands.”
The contribution comes as youth sports continue to play an important role in developing discipline, teamwork, leadership and healthy lifestyles among young people.
The BVI Squash Association has been working to expand the reach of squash locally while providing opportunities for athletes to compete at higher levels. Hosting the Junior Caribbean Squash Championships represents another milestone for the sport and provides local players with the opportunity to compete alongside some of the region’s best junior talent.
Beyond the competition itself, the event is expected to provide economic and community benefits by welcoming visitors to the territory and highlighting the Virgin Islands’ growing reputation as a host for regional sporting events.
NAGICO said it looks forward to welcoming athletes, coaches, officials and supporters for what promises to be an exciting week of competition and camaraderie.
The 2026 Junior Caribbean Squash Championships will serve as a celebration of youth achievement, regional unity and the continued growth of squash throughout the Caribbean.
