TORTOLA, BVI — The British Virgin Islands is receiving international exposure on Bravo’s popular reality television series The Real Housewives of New York City, with the cast travelling to Moskito Island for a two-part getaway featured in the show’s 16th season.

The BVI features in Episode 5, titled “Trouble in Paradise,” which premiered on October 6, 2026, followed by Episode 6, “Moskito Madness.”

The getaway is hosted by cast member Erika Hammond, whose family owns an estate on Moskito Island. Joining her in the Territory are Carole Radziwill, Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, Hailey Glassman and Daisy Toye.

The episodes showcase the Territory’s turquoise waters, secluded white-sand beaches and luxury accommodations, highlighting the BVI as a destination for exclusive Caribbean escapes.

FILM CREW VISITED IN APRIL

According to the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board and Film Commission, filming began following the arrival of the cast and crew from SMBWW Production on April 3, 2026.

The Tourist Board welcomed the production team upon their arrival in Tortola and provided support throughout their stay in the Territory.

Director of Tourism Clive McCoy said the television feature offers an opportunity to introduce the BVI to an international audience interested in luxury travel.

“When viewers watch the ladies arrive on Moskito Island, they are seeing the kind of exclusive, unforgettable experience the British Virgin Islands offers every day,” McCoy said.

He added that the exposure places the destination before an engaged audience seeking its next luxury holiday experience.

BVI STRENGTHENS INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION PRESENCE

Film Commissioner Natalie Hodge described the feature as a significant opportunity to promote the Territory internationally.

“Having the British Virgin Islands featured on a franchise as widely watched as The Real Housewives is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our islands to millions of viewers,” Hodge said.

She noted that the production also demonstrates the BVI’s appeal as an international filming destination capable of accommodating major productions.

The appearance follows the Territory’s recent feature on Discovery Channel’s Let’s Take It Outside with Misty Wells, further expanding the BVI’s presence on international television.
